There’s a whole new way to get around Martinborough – on board an electric-powered Storm Cruiser. They are so much fun that it’s impossible to ride one without a big grin on your face. After a brief lesson, they are a breeze to drive as the big, fat tyres help give stability. Perfect for calling in for a coffee, then cruising the vineyards with a cute helmet on your head and a picnic in the carry basket.

Available for day hire at Peonies of Martinborough, the cruisers carry either Peonies branding or a sassy Union Jack on the mudguards.

Peonies cruisers are only available to licensed drivers (normal road rules apply). You’ll need to wear a helmet, keep to the roads (not the footpath, please) and stay within Martinborough.

And if you get hooked – as some people are already – the cruisers are also available for sale.
